We carry someone on our back or neck when we want to please them! In Egmont’s proposal – Piggyback – parents (pawns in yellow and blue) will also take their children (in pink and blue) on a piggyback to reach for specific items that are hung on the tree. Play this cool game with your kids!
Colorful box
In a medium-sized box you will find a board, a tree consisting of two parts, four wooden pieces – the Grywalski family (2 parents and 2 children), a drawing disc with an arrow, a sun, 4 item tokens, as well as elements for expansion and additional game variants ( 8 small animal tokens and large animal tokens). All elements have been prepared with the greatest care and will surely appeal to the youngest. Assuming that this is a game for very young children (3+), be careful that our pupils do not swallow any of the elements.
Piggyback is a great game because we can increase the difficulty ourselves, making the gameplay even more exciting. We have a simple variant for younger children to choose from, and an extension of the game – animal garden – for older children. The shortest game takes only 15 minutes!
Family cooperation
There is no competition between players in the game, because all participants (from 1 to 6 players) have a common goal – moving pawns between parts of the garden, they collect toys. If they touch something, they take possession of it (from now on it belongs to the Grywalski family).
During the game, participants spin the arrow on the randomizing disc (it must make at least one turn), which may slightly change the setting of the sun and make it impossible to collect certain items. As you might guess, Na barana is a unique proposition, the mechanics of which will allow you to develop many skills, incl. strategic thinking, remembering, storytelling and deduction. Parents discuss the situation on the board with their children, and then the family jointly decides what to do in a given situation. You should help each other and teach the youngest to cooperate, think logically and deal with emotions.
Creative idea
The authors of the game are Dutch publishers and game developers – Steven Michiel Rijsdijk and Anne Mijke van Harten. On a piggy bank is part of a series of children’s games (for children over three years of age), which are published by Egmont under the collective name of Rodzinka wins . So far, there have been released: Kotek Psotek , Little Detektywi , Wyprawa do grandma and Park Dinosaurów .
The games from the series “Family wins” will familiarize the youngest with playing, following the rules, and emotions related to success and failure. There is no competition between players in them, which means that the guardians do not have to artificially give their wards the victory. Piggyback is a collaborative, collaborative game that is sure to be enjoyed by both kids and their parents – regardless of the end result.
