The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You is one of the new anime coming our way in fall 2023, and the romantic comedy series Harem has released a new trailer to prepare fans for what’s next! The 100 Girlfriends is one of the more popular romantic comedies of the last few years, as Rikito Nakamura and Yukiko Nozawa’s manga offers quite a distinct twist on Harem tropes and ideas. Because they either date every girl on the show or they die increasingly absurd deaths.

The 100 Girlfriends will be making a leap from the pages of Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine with its anime debut next month, and fans got a new look at the upcoming series and the central cast of girls (who are the soul mates of main character Aijo Rentaro after a hilarious mix-up with God’s space shenanigans) with a new trailer showing it all. When is the premiere?
Directed by Hikaru Sato for Bibury Animation Studios , The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You will premiere in Japan on October 8. The opening episode is titled “To You Who I Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love”. The voice cast includes: Wataru Kato as Rentaro Aijo, Kaede Hondo as Hakari Hanazona, Miyu Tomita as Karane Inda, Maria Naganawa as Shizuka Yoshimoto, Asami Seto as Nano Eiai, Ayaka Asai as Kusuri Yakuzen, and Shigeru Chiba as God.
Seven Seas Entertainment has licensed The 100 Girlfriends manga for an English release and this is how they describe the romantic comedy:
Aijo Rentaro invited a hundred girls and failed every time. In desperation, he prays for guidance, only for god to tell him that his rejection was due to cosmic misfortune! Now this god will fix the situation by making sure Aijo gets a hundred dates. Except, as is often the case with gods, there is a catch: each of his hundred dates is Aijo’s destined soulmate! Worse yet, if he doesn’t return their feelings, they will all die in terrible – and hilarious – accidents!
