As the new Amazon series, inspired by the Tolkien universe, will be released in September, more and more new production materials are appearing on the Internet. This time, thanks to Empire Magazine , we can take a closer look at Celebrimbor, which looks a bit different than its original book.
JD Payne, one of the showrunners, explained who this character is, for those who know a little less about Middle-earth:
One of the main characters in this story is Celebrimbor. It is an elven blacksmith who has been manipulated [by Sauron – ed. ed.] to help create the Rings of Power. We’re excited to see it in Middle-earth. He is very mysterious.

In an interview with Empire Magazine, JD Payne also said about his thoughts on the show:
The Lord of the Rings does not shy away from the dark. He takes you to Cirith Ungol, to Shelob’s lair, where friends betray each other and where the heroes are dragged to Mordor. It’s a shocking experience. At the end, however, there is always a star in the sky that says, “Don’t give up.” We wanted to include this atmosphere on the show.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power takes place a thousand years before the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings – Morgoth has been defeated, Numenor has not yet fallen, and Sauron is operating under the mask of a beautiful elf named Annatar.
Amazon’s new production is to have five seasons, in the first of which eight episodes are waiting for viewers. The premiere will take place on September 2. You can find more photos from Empire Magazine here .
