The April CD-Action is bursting at the seams again with interesting announcements, reviews and extensive journalism. What can we find this time in the issue of external graphics including both covers?
The gaming industry has settled down with its events on the Internet, the Polish prime minister is hitting caps in Tekken 7 , Polandball is still struggling to conquer space, and Gollum is still looking for his birthday present. This is, in a nutshell, the first pages of the April issue of CD-Action, which was decorated with graphics extending to both covers.
At the beginning, the editors give us a fairly large preview of the latest Arkane Studios production. Deathloop , because we are talking about it, turns out to be much less roguelike than you might expect, and a lot of positive words and memories about Dishonored show us that we definitely have something to wait for. It is a bit different with the Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance set in the title universe , which currently evokes slightly mixed feelings. The same is true of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum , although in this case a stealth game with a character with not very charming appearance may be an interesting novelty among game adaptations of master Tolkien’s prose. It is also worth reading how it looks todayBang on Balls: Chronicles , a translation of the famous countryballs memes showing that Poland can into games.
Of course, gaming is not the only announcement. In the April issue of the magazine, for example, we can find a review of Nioh Collection , which offers two title productions of soulslike type adapted to new-generation consoles with a description of quite interesting solutions for its acquisition. A lot of space is also devoted to the game Curse of the Dead Gods , a colorful, though very dark roguelite set in the nineteenth-century ruins of the temple of the ancient peoples of America. One cannot remain indifferent to the reviews of smaller titles, such as the inverted music game Everhood , whose subtitle is so long that for the sake of readability of the article, I will simply omit it or Dakka Squadronbeing so orcish that fans of the Warhammer 40,000 universe can admit that it’s hard to find a more green-skinned production where “ratatata is made”. Of course, not everything always works out, so it’s worth taking a look at the “blood sausage zone” section, where, based on the Potentia game, you can see how a brazen love for the best may not work out. After all, it’s always worth learning from mistakes, especially someone else’s.
Although I have never been able to complain about the journalism of CD-Action, I have the impression that in the April issue there were even more very interesting texts. Quite a lot can be read about Bitcoins, due to which many currently have big problems with updating the components of their tinplate (I am a victim of this and I know how it hurts). In particular, I recommend this article to those who want to know what this cryptocurrency is, and to everyone who thinks that constantly printing money is a remedy for poverty (spoiler – no, it is not). A short story about how Capcom wanted to fight Street Fighter is also very interestingin court or a column about why in games you can meet fighting politicians so often, such as the pretty prime minister Lidia Sobieska or Turbo-Morawa … er … Senator Steven Amstrong, I mean. Our readers will probably like the article about Gothic, which is a phenomenon that is doing exceptionally well in our country, although twenty years have passed since the premiere of the first part of the game. After all, it’s always nice to read about the winner of the first Golden Mug of the Last Tavern. Ah, and here’s something about cyberpunk.
What do the editors of CD-Action think about Stronghold: Warlords , Paradise Lost , Nebuchadnezzar or Breathedge ? Or what can we read about Facebook, the phenomenon of the inconspicuous Valheim , lomography or graphics cards? You can only find out by reading the April issue of the magazine, which I recommend as always. Just hurry up! The May copies have already appeared in kiosks, so there is not much time left to purchase the magazine described here.
Let’s not forget that we recently celebrated the 25th century of CD-Action! This time you can get a discount on the XPG Summoner mechanical keyboard, as if someone was just thinking about changing the keys.
