Although the intention of Marvel Studios to make another solo movie about the hero with the shield has been known since the end of the series “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”, there was one condition for the proper start of preparation.
A fourth Captain America movie will join the roster of future Marvel movies. According to Deadline, Sam Wilson’s actor, Anthony Mackie, signed a contract to reappear as Steve Rogers’ successor. Thanks to this, preparations for the project can gain momentum. The script will be written by Malcolm Spellman, who was the showrunner of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier . Dalan Musson will assist him in his work.
Apart from the performer of the title role, nothing is known about the possible cast. It is certain that Chris Evans will not appear in this production. He is expected to return as Steve Rogers in another MCU project, but will miss the new Captain.
No details about this movie and its plot yet. The director has not been selected yet, and looking at the current schedule of Marvel Studios, the premiere will probably not take place earlier than in 3 to 4 years. Captain fans will surely be patiently waiting for the next news.
