Boba Fett might get his own miniseries

The Internet reports that in addition to the third season of “Mandalorian” Lucasfilm plans to start shooting a series about Bob Fetta. Is it true?

Mandalorian is a series created by Jon Favreau set in the world of Star Wars.   Its action takes place a few years after the fall of the Galactic Empire. Season two debuted on the Disney platform a few days ago. It is known that viewership is the most important nowadays and this is what decides whether the project will be continued. It turned out that the results are better than those of the first season. That is why shooting for the next series is to begin soon.

In the first episode of season two, the bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) retrieves Boba Fett’s battle-damaged armor. Djarin tries to return her to the ancestral home and is watched by a mysterious figure who turns out to be Fett. Boba Fett is one of the galaxy’s most famous and best bounty hunters. A penny is not enough for him, he is counting dearly for his services, but the mission is always fulfilled. In the movie Return of the Jedi, Bob Fett is eaten by the Sarlacc monster. However, it turns out that he managed to survive and wants to continue doing what he was made for.

This character is played by Temuera Morrison. We have news that Lucasfilm is planning to start shooting a miniseries about this character soon. The studio is known for not revealing its secrets too early, but there must be something to it. Plans to shoot a spinoff were made in 2013. James Mangold was supposed to be directing the film. Eventually, however, Fett was replaced with another Mandalorian – Din Djarin.

This idea has just been returned to. Disney CEO Bob Iger said:

The priority [for Star Wars] over the next few years is television. There will be more Mandalorian … Perhaps we will saturate him with more characters and maybe take these characters in their own direction in the form of series.

The direction seems to be good, given the closing of cinemas. What do you think about it?
