In a week’s time Spodek will turn into a Mecca for board game fans. The Board Game Festival in Spodek will start next Saturday. These are two days of great fun for everyone!
Publishers from all over the country. News. Tournaments. RPG sessions. Promotions and sales. Over 600 games in the rental shop and hundreds of more available for purchase – this year’s Board Games in Spodek will soon take place – the largest festival of board games in southern Poland. And one of the few this year.
It is worth adding that this year’s event will take up the entire Spodek for the first time – both the board where the games room will be located, and the mezzanine, which will become a huge exhibitor zone. The organizers invite everyone who is looking for interesting entertainment and an attractive way to spend time with family and friends. The event is aimed at both beginners and advanced players.
There will be a number of attractions waiting for you there:
- 40 exhibitors have announced their participation in the festival, including publishers of board, card, family, fictional and paragraph games, as well as shops with games and game accessories.
- Game publishers will present this year’s premieres at their stands, both those already available for sale and those that are still to come. Some will bring prototypes of games they are still working on.
- In addition to the presentation of games, publishers are also preparing promotional prices for you, and even sales of selected titles from their offer! You will definitely not leave Spodek empty-handed.
- On the Spodek’s album there will be tables for players and a game rental, where you will find over 600 games from the collections of the Ludiversum cafe in Katowice. Beginning players can count on the help of animators in green T-shirts.
- Every day, fans of role-playing games will be waiting for a dozen or so RPG sessions to choose from.
- For those who like to compete, as many as 6 tournaments have been prepared, including the Southern Poland Championship in Rummikub . Other titles in which you will be able to compete are: Hearthstone , Hero Realms , Magic: the Gathering (papuer and limited formats), Ostium .
- For families with children, a separate room has been prepared, where you can play simpler games – children, family, beginners.
- The organizer of the event is Ludiversum – a cafe in Katowice created in 2016 for all those who like having fun while playing board games. It currently offers its customers over 400 games to choose from.
Board games in Spodek will be held on Saturday, September 4 from 10:00 to 20:00. On Sunday, it will be possible to spend time at the event from 11:00 to 19:00.

- 1-day tickets: regular PLN 19 / reduced PLN 10
- 2-day: regular PLN 29 / reduced PLN 15
- Children up to 6 years old: free admission
