Forbidden Island
Forbidden Island is a game that was released on the Polish market thanks to the Rebel publishing house. Its author, in turn, is Matt Leacock. It is intended for 2-4 players aged 10+. We play the role of a group of explorers who go to a mysterious island to find lost artifacts. Our trip is not the easiest one. The unknown land on which we are moving is constantly flooded by water. So we must hurry so that neither we nor the treasures we are looking for end their adventure at the bottom of the ocean.
Why is the Forbidden Island a great board game for laymen? First of all, it has very simple rules. You only need to go through eight pages of instructions (1/3 of which are illustrations) and you can start playing. In addition, we get a card with a brief instruction, and the cards we choose contain clear instructions on what to do in a given situation. In addition, we are dealing with a cooperative game. Therefore, if in our group there is someone who has already had the opportunity to face the forgotten land, this person can prompt us and make sure that everything runs smoothly and in accordance with the rules. However, be careful that our leader does not go too far and does not start controlling our characters, thus taking away all the fun. – Piotr Markiewicz
