Recently, the official World of Warcraft website announced the release date of Wrath of the Lich King Classic on September 26, 2022. This date was quickly removed from the site by Blizzard, which made fans assume the release date had been pushed back ahead of the official announcement. Since the leak, Blizzard has not publicly commented on the matter, leaving fans with more questions than answers.
The publication of this date may have been a mistake, but the fact that it appeared on the official WoW website gives the leak a lot of credibility. Often times, similar leaks that we have seen in the past have proven to be justified. With that in mind, you’d expect the WotLK Classic to really take off in September, but we’ll have to wait for an official disclosure to find out more.
At this point, we can only expect Wrath of the Lich King to come out before 2022. Assuming the expansion hits WoW Classic in September, we should hear more about it soon.
