In December, thanks to the efforts of the GOG.com store, the classic Blade Runner adventure game , inspired by the legendary Ridley Scott film of the same title, returned to distribution after many years . As it turns out, soon more players will be able to get acquainted with this well-deserved position. Nightdive Studios announced the announcement of cooperation with Alcon Entertainment later this year on PC, PS4, XONE and Nintendo Switch, a renewed edition – Blade Runner: Enhanced Edition .
Importantly, this time there is no question of the simplest remaster. We’ve known since 2015 that the game’s source code was lost many years ago, which forced Nightdive Studios to reverse engineering. Thanks to the studio’s original KEX technology, animations, three-dimensional models, and cutscenes will be improved. The game will also support high resolutions and widescreen monitors. The creators will also take care of new controls, both for the keyboard and mouse, as well as for the controller.
