In this action-packed Marvel Studios spy thriller, Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson), the title Black Widow, confronts the dark side of her past. A dangerous plot is underway against her. He’s the Avengers we know least about, ” says screenwriter Eric Pearson. – It turns out that he is not exactly what he claims to be in “Iron Man 2”. Natasha decides to hide her past and true identity from viewers and other characters. In “Black Widow” we reveal what was unknown so far, as well as where her fear of revealing information about herself came from . – he adds.

Natasha Romanoff made her big-screen debut in 2010 in “Iron Man 2.” She then appeared in the next six Marvel movies: “The Avengers”, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”, “Avengers: Age of Ultron”, “Captain America: A Civil War”, “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame” from 2019.

Natasha has a very rich history, ” says producer Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios and director of creation. – We marked it in all the previous movies. This time, however, we approach its story in an unexpected way. Throughout her life, Natasha has been involved in many things, a lot has happened with her, also in the so-called interim, between those pieces of her story that we see in other movies. Some threads from her past will be surprising for viewers – reveals the producer.

The movie takes place right after what happened in Captain America: Civil War,” explains co-producer Brian Chapek. – Natasha broke Agreement Sokovia, betrayed Secretary Ross and Avengersi are disbanded. At first, Natasha is determined to sneak out of Ross and leave America. Once she thinks she’s been given a chance to cut herself off from the past and start over, she realizes there’s no way out. The dark forces will eventually catch her and force her to face the ghosts of the past , explains Chapek.

For Jac Schaeffer, who contributed to the story, the richness of the Marvel universe and the way Johansson created Natasha both open up many possibilities.

This woman, whom we know, love and idealize in many ways, bears a burden, ” says Schaeffer. – It is a rich palette of emotions from which you can draw and develop these threads later – he adds.

The end result is an action-packed thriller that reveals Natasha’s past, ” says co-producer Brian Chapek. – We watch the character evolve and open up to us. We discovered and looked for clues about who she is and what makes her effective. In Avengers: Endgame, we saw Natasha reach a place in her life where she is able to sacrifice herself for the greater good. Now we want to tell the story of who she really is as a human and what made her capable of making this heroic decision , says Chapek.
