“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” delayed

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was delayed first by Letitia Wright’s injury, then possibly by the actress’s state of vaccination.

Production of the 2018 sequel to Black Panther was halted due to the injury of Letitia Wright, who plays Princess Shuri. In August, the actress was injured during the stunt sequence and reportedly left Atlanta to take care of her injury in London. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Letitia is not vaccinated, which creates a huge problem for the film. New CDC ordinances prohibit unvaccinated people from entering the United States. If the reports are true, the actress will have a huge problem getting back on set, which will further delay production.

Letitia Wright posted an anti-vaccine and transphobic video on Twitter in 2020. Then she quickly removed them. She published an apology saying that she just wanted to express her doubts about what the vaccines actually contained and what we put into our bodies.

Shuri is one of the favorites to become a Black Panther in the new production. After the death of Chadwick Boseman, it is still unknown who will play the title character. The producers want to preserve the actor’s legacy and remain faithful to the original production idea.

Directed by Ryan Coogler, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has a new release date – November 11, 2022.
