On this day, also after the break, IMAX returns to Krakow. The largest screening room in Cinema City Zakopianka has been adapted to the needs of screenings in this format. It is equipped with a widescreen, laser projector and speakers that provide excellent spatial sound, thanks to their placement in carefully designated places: behind the screen, on the sides of the room and on the ceiling.
The fantasy super production Black Adam , which Cinema City will also show in IMAX and 4DX, is a spin-off to Shazam! in which another superhero from the DC universe makes his debut. The audience will get to know the story of the eponymous Black Adam (Dwayn Johnson), who, almost 5000 years after receiving the enormous powers of the ancient gods – and almost simultaneously imprisonment – is freed from the earth’s tomb. Now he is ready to administer peculiarly understood justice to the modern world. The film also includes Pierce Brosnan, Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, Quintessa Swindell and Marwan Kenzari.
Bejbis is a new comedy by Andrzej Saramonowicz. The film tells the story of happy spouses with a long history, who, as a result of a drunk party, will have another unplanned child. 9 months after an intoxicating night that ended with a broken movie, Ada (Marta Żmuda Trzebiatowska) and Mikołaj (Grzegorz Małecki) welcome their son Janek to the world. This turns out to be the beginning of a series of events that shake the lives of the couple like bombs exploding every now and then. Taking care of a toddler causes tension, lack of understanding and fatigue to creep into the hitherto ideal relationship. As if that was not enough, their 15-year-old daughter Mela (Barbara Papis), disaffected with the birth of her brother, will start to cause them enormous problems.
The film The Silent Twins by Agnieszka Smoczyńska was based on an unbelievable but true story and was awarded the Golden Lions at the 47th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia. One of the roles is played by the Black Panther star Letitia Wright. The screenplay for The Silent Twins is based on the book by Marjorie Wallace, about the identical twins June and Jennifer Gibbons. For many years, the girls refused to communicate verbally with their family, teachers and peers, creating a symbiotic, though not devoid of competition, duo. The inner world of the characters was shown with visual fantasy. Pictures and music took the place of unspoken words.
