Jeff Snider’s Twitter post suggests that Netflix star Jenna Ortega may join the cast as the daughter of Winona Ryder’s (Lydia Deetz) character. Along with the cast, the director of the first film, Tim Burton, will also return to the set of Beetlejuice .
Beetlejuice 2 will see the return of Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara. The action of the film will take place 27 years after the events of the first part.
Winona Ryder already in 2017 in an interview with the Daily Beast spoke about her feelings about the sequel:
I have to admit that I love Lydia very much. She was a big part of me. I’m very interested in what he’s doing 27 years later.
