NBCUniversal is making the next version of the Battlestar Galactica series. Sam Esmail and Chad Hamilton will be responsible for the work.
NBCUniversal has announced a reboot of the science fiction series Battlestar Galactica for Peacock. The work will be done by Sam Esmail, known, inter alia, as the creator of the series Mr. Robot , winner of the Golden Globe, was also nominated for an Emmy. He will also produce with Chad Hamilton.
Battlestar Galactica was founded in 1978 and directed by Glen A. Larson. Battlestar Galactica: Space Alert also appeared at the same time . This was followed by a series for Syfy in 2003 that aired on the Sci-Fi Channel, as well as another game by Battlestar Galactica . A year later, a remake of the series from 1978 appeared. The universe also includes full-length films: Battlestar Galactica: The Story So Far in 2006, Battlestar Galactica: The Last Frakkin ‘Special in 2009, Battlestar Galactica: Razor in 2007, Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chromium in 2012. In 2010 it was also released game Battlestar Galactica Online , and in 2017Battlestar Galactica: Deadlock.
The premiere of the new series on the Peacock platform is planned for April 2020.
