A fragment of a new animated film about Batman has hit the web. It presents an alternative version of the events that could have happened in the famous comic book story “Death in the Family”.
In the published clip, we see what could have happened to Jason Todd if he had not died in the explosion of the bomb planted by the Joker. It is true that the second Robin remained alive here, but the torture he was subjected to affected his psyche. You can watch it all below.
Batman: Death in the Family will not be an ordinary animated film. It is the first interactive title in Warner Bros. history. The viewers with the help of their pilots will be able to make choices about how the story of the Dark Knight and his companions will unfold. It is also a reference to the comic book story of Death in the Family . Then American readers could decide the fate of Jason Todd through a telephone poll.
The producer, director and screenwriter of the film is Brandon Vietti. Batman, Joker and young Jason Todd will be voiced by Bruce Greenwood, John DiMaggio and Vincent Martella, respectively. The same actors played these characters in another animated production – Batman: Under the Red Hood . There, according to the comics, we followed the story of Jason who, after resurrection, returns to Gotham and begins killing criminals as Red Hood. His main goal, however, is to take revenge on his killer as well as his former mentor.
The film is expected to go on sale in the first half of October.
