Warner Bros. Discovery has chosen not to release Leslie Grace Batgirl in cinemas and on HBO Max. It was originally revealed that the Batgirl movie was still in production in 2017, and the script was written by screenwriter Christina Hodson ( Birds of Prey ). In 2021, it was confirmed that the planned HBO Max film will be made by Bad Boys For Life directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah.

Michael Keaton would return as Batman and JK Simmon would play Commissioner Gordon’s version. However, since Warner Bros. merged with Discovery Media, the film’s fate has hung in the air.

Reports initially indicated that Batgirl may have been played in theaters. Additional delays and scheduling reports seemed to confirm this. Now, unfortunately, it turns out that Warner Bros. Discover is giving up the film entirely. The studio issued a statement saying that this decision was strictly a business decision.
