Disney hopes to win nominations in several categories.
The huge success of Avengers: Endgame is unquestionable – the film breaks records in terms of attendance, popularity and ticket sales. However, Disney is not satisfied with the phenomenal results or even beating Avatar as the long leader of Box Office. The studio hopes for at least a dozen nominations for the Film Academy Award 2020.
Last year, Black Panther won the Oscars by being nominated in four categories, winning three of which: Best Original Music , Best Set and Best Costume Design . Disney goes a big step further and proposes an Endgame nomination in 12 categories!
- Best Movie – Kevin Feige
- Best Director – Anthony and Joe Russo
- Best Adapted Screenplay – Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely
- The best photos – Trent Opaloch
- Best Editing by Jeffrey Ford and Matthew Schmidt
- Best Set Design – Charles Wood (set designer) and Tonja Schurmann (set designer)
- The best costumes – Judianna Makovsky

The study plans are very ambitious, but is it impossible? Avengers: Endgame will remain one of the most important films in the history of cinematography, crowning 10 years of the development of American superhero cinema. Official nominations will be announced in the winter, but whether the film will actually be appreciated by the Academy, we will find out at the gala itself, probably at the beginning of March 2020.
