The revolution in cinema that was James Cameron’s Avatar 13 years ago set the bar high for the second part of this story. The greatest expectations of viewers concern the visual effects, which the director is famous for and which in 2009 promoted 3D cinema. Cinema City shows the movie Avatar. Avatar 1 remains the highest-grossing post-World War II film to date, with a record gross of $3 billion . Audiences around the world were captivated by the artistic vision, quality and extraordinary technological solutions that Cameron offered. Viewers have been waiting 13 years to see how the love story on a distant planet will unfold and what visionary solutions the director has to offer this time.
James Cameron created the second part of the film for IMAX 3D technology and the presentation of the work in this format will fully reflect the director’s vision. Cinema City offers its viewers the widest choice – screenings will be shown in both IMAX 3D and IMAX 3D HFR formats, as well as in 4DX 3D, 4DX 3D HFR, ScreenX 2D, VIP 2D and 3D, 2D, 3D, 3D with HFR. Particularly noteworthy are the IMAX and 4DX screenings with HFR (High Frame Rate) technology, which allows 48 images per second to be displayed, resulting in a cleaner and more vivid image, especially in 3D. By comparison, standard movies display 24 images per second. The revolution in 3D cinema brought by Avatar in 2009 has a chance to repeat itself thanks to the development of cinema technology over the last 13 years.
The film takes place more than ten years after the events of the first part. Against the backdrop of the phenomenal fauna and flora of a distant planet, the story of Jake and Neytiri’s family, their efforts to ensure the safety of themselves and their children, is shown. Pandora is attacked again by representatives of homo sapiens, bringing with them war and destruction. The heroes are forced to flee and seek salvation from other tribes inhabiting the planet. In the film we will see actors known from the previous part: Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver and Stephen Lang.
