The finale of the Attack on Titan anime is getting closer. The series produced by Studio MAPPA set the stage for the biggest battle in the series’ history. Eren Jaeger leads an army of Colossal Titans on a genocidal rampage with the sole purpose of destroying all that dwells beyond the borders of Paradis. The new reconnaissance regiment must stop him by any means necessary. Along with the announcement of the final episodes, which we can watch on March 3, 2023, a trailer has appeared that gives us a glimpse of the grand finale.
In earlier parts of the series, we witnessed the Corps manage to get hold of a ship that brought them closer to meeting a former friend. Soldiers like Mikasa and Armin try to dissuade Jaeger from his current plan. New members of the Scout Regiment , such as Annie, Pieck, and Reiner, believe that the only way to stop Eren is to get rid of him. If Eren’s old friends had to fight the new Founding Titan, they’d realize that defeating him was a whole different story – considering the amazing abilities he currently possesses.
Attack on Titan released a new trailer for the third part of the final season of the anime, giving us a new perspective on the whole story. He continues to investigate the dire circumstances in which the Scout Regiment now finds itself. There doesn’t seem to be a happy ending to this story, regardless of who wins.
Series creator Hajime Isayama recently discussed his work – although he is not planning a sequel with the Scout Regiment, he is considering returning to a short story focusing on Captain Levi’s past. Since the manga has a rather controversial ending, anime fans are wondering if the anime adaptation will follow the original finale to the letter or if MAPPA will take liberties.
