The MAPPA Studio crew are hard at work on the final part of the fourth season of Shingeki no Kyojin . Anime can prove to be a huge challenge as Hajime Isayama didn't hold back in the final chapters of his manga. It turns out that even the MAPPA team was surprised by the ending of the story.
Recently, Attack on Titan executive producer Manabu Otsuka said the team had almost given up hope after seeing Isayama finish the story, but pulled together and brainstormed sharply.
When we were working on the first part of the finale, we saw the end of the manga and the final battle. We lost hope because we didn’t know how to adapt this fight. However, we want to finish working on the anime despite the difficulties. After all, the entire team is committed and determined to bring the production to completion, said the producer.
It seems that both Otsuka and the entire MAPPA team want to pay due respect to the series. Despite this, the action-packed finale will certainly be a production challenge.
