This time, Asterix and Obelix will visit ancient China. The movie Asterix & Obelix: The Middle Kingdom has already had its trailer, and what's more, it has been announced who will play the roles of the main characters.
In the new production, the fates of the two well-known Gauls will intertwine with the problems of the daughter of the Emperor of China. In addition, Caesar himself also became interested in the Middle Kingdom, or rather its conquest. It will be a completely new adventure.
The role of Asterix was played by Guillaume Canet, and the new Obelix was Gilles Lellouche. In addition, we will be able to see Zlatan Ibrahimovic himself in the film. The script was prepared by Philippe Mechelen and Julien Hervé.
The official release date of the new Asterix and Obelix has also been announced – it will debut in France on February 1, 2023.
