Almost two years have passed since the premiere of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, but it turns out that the game may soon join its predecessors on the new platform. The GamingLeaksAndRumors Reddit community noted that the Steam version of Valhalla has recently been added to the Ubisoft Connect database. This is a strong indication that the title is actually coming, but of course, until Ubisoft releases an official announcement on this matter, we must take any information with a grain of salt.
Ubisoft, as a rule, tries to avoid publishing games on Steam, relying rather on the Epic Games Store and the proprietary Uplay Store. Earlier this year, a French publisher appeared in game media languages after removing some older titles from Steam, and there was a discussion on the forum as to whether the canceled games would remain playable. The appearance of Assasins’s Creed Valhalla in the steam catalog will mean that the company is making changes to its policy. One of the assumptions about such a decision is the possibility of the latest Assassin on the Steam Deck console, which has been gaining a lot of popularity recently. After all, these are only theories and speculations for now, and Ubisoft has not shared any details so far.
Still from the game “Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla”, Ubisoft
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was released in November 2020. Currently, the game is the latest installment of the cult franchise and takes players to the world of Vikings, where we lead the fate of the warrior Eivor. The game received mostly positive reviews, from The Last Tavern, it received a rating of 7.7 / 10 (you can read the review here ). In the meantime, we’ve had a few additions, and as a result, members of the GamingLeaksandRumors subreddit have expressed interest in releasing a ‘complete’ edition of the game with a full DLC package. This could be a great incentive for a player who has not yet had the opportunity to visit Scandinavia in Valhalla .
