Originally, the series was scheduled to start earlier in May this year. The delay in this, and many other production, occurred due to the COVID-19 pandemic this year.
Season 11, directed by Adam Reed, brings a completely new perspective on the lives of the heroes. After 3 years of coma, Sterling Archer wakes up, turning everyone’s life upside down. While he was the heart of the team, he realizes a painful fact: Time has not stopped with his departure. For others, life went on, no longer focusing on him. Together with Archer, we return to the heroes transformed, who took the opportunity to develop, matured, became stronger. Although this is a brutal view of reality, it turns out that the several years of coma have improved Sterling’s companions. So he has to find himself in a new reality, adjusting to his surroundings.
In addition to the psychological issues raised by the latest season, a return to spy life will certainly be interesting for fans. After a break lasting 3 seasons, in which we have been transferred to the subconscious of the main character, we will again see the thrilling adventures of the Secret Intelligence Agency team.
The cast also remains unchanged. We will see Lana (Aisha Tyler) again, Archer’s ex-girlfriend Cyril who is Lana’s new boyfriend (Chris Parnell) as well as Cheryl (Judy Greer), Pam (Amber Nash), Krieger (Lucky Yates) and the perpetually criticizing mother of the main character, Mallory (Jessica Walter).
