Edens Zero anime debuted on April 10 in Japan. The series will premiere internationally on the Netflix platform. Unfortunately, fans have to wait for legal access to the series.
As a rule, anime releases on the platform take place much later than in the Land of the Rising Sun. The longer waiting time for Netflix is probably due to the fact that the series is to be available to all viewers, without restrictions for specific countries. This is related to, inter alia, with the necessity to adapt the language versions, this period is extended in the case of work on dubbing. We still do not know the exact date of the Edens Zero premiere on Netflix. Such will surely happen in the fall.
Edens Zero is an adventure science fiction series. In the year X492, space travel is open to everyone. Shiki lives in an abandoned amusement park, he has never seen a man, having only machines as companions. On his way is Rebecca – a space traveler and vlogger. Due to the rebellion of robots on the planet he inhabits, the boy decides to leave his home. The protagonist, his new friend and her companion, the blue cat Happy, set off on a journey through the galaxy. Shiki has a noble goal, he wants to make friends.
The series is an adaptation of the Hiro Mashima manga. The previous major mangaka project was Fairy Tail , which also had its own anime. Both series combine, among others numerous fight scenes and director – Shinji Ishihara. The similarity between the titles also occurs on the level of the characters’ appearance – Happy is the most expressive example. The Fairy Tail Manga is published in Polish by Studio JG.
The first season of Edens Zero has 25 episodes – a number reported on the Chinese streaming service iQIYI. The animation was created by JC Staff studio.
As the series is still in progress, more seasons are likely to follow.
