One thing is certain, the Witcher would not exist if it were not for Yennefer from Vengerberg. In the series, the beautiful sorceress is played by Anya Chalotra, a British actress known for such productions as Wanderlust (2018) and The ABC Murders (2019). This casting choice aroused mixed feelings among some fans – most were used to the image of Yen as we know from the games. Chalotra’s performance was appreciated not only by the audience, but also by critics.
Yesterday, the actress received the IMDb Breakout STARmeter award for the role of Yennefer. In this category, also Freya Allan (Ciri) was in the top ten , in ninth place.
The IMDb portal also shared the list of the ten best actors of 2020 (Top 10 Stars of 2020 List). The Witcher fans have a lot to be happy about, as two of the main cast members are included in this list. Anya Chalotra in third and Henry Cavill (Geralt) in tenth.
The actors are currently working on the second season of The Witcher , which we will see on Netflix in 2021.
