Jonathan Majors has joined the cast of Ant-Man 3 . So far, the studio has not revealed who he will play, but it is known that his role will be one of the main ones in the production. Thus, the rising actor will appear on the project alongside the returning Paul Rudd and Engeline Lilly.
Although Marvel is silent about the character Majors will play for the time being, Deadline reports about the possible choice of the studio. According to the service journalist, the star of Lovecraft Land will play the role of Kang the Conqueror. If this news proves to be true, he may become the next major villain in a Thanos-like MCU. Of course, it is uncertain whether it will not be reworked for the film.
In the comics, Kang is a time-traveling villain with a rather complicated story. His debut took place in 1963 as an opponent of the Fantastic Four. Then a newcomer from the 31st century – Nathaniel Richards – moved to ancient Egypt and became a pharaoh. After being defeated by the first Marvel family, Nathaniel tried to go back to his time, but missed by a thousand years. After seeing how war-ravaged the Earth is at that time, he adopts the identity of Kang the Conqueror and uses advanced technology to conquer the world at a time when the planet is in a better state. Since his debut, the villain has appeared in several different versions, including a teenage superhero nicknamed Iron Lad.
