As a reminder – Indiana Jones, played by Harrison Ford from the beginning, made his debut in 1981. The next films in the series were released in 1984, 1989, 2008. The hat, the whip and the revolver, as well as the charisma of the actor playing the main role, made the series a fan base. all over the world. And it earned over 3 billion green dollars. The creator of the success was also Steven Spielberg, who directs all the parts, who knows best how to attract viewers to cinemas.
Earlier this year, we learned that the director had quit his job on the latest film. It also turned out that screenwriter David Koepp also gave up writing the script for Indiana Jones 5 .
We tried a few different versions with Steven, they all had good bits and some that didn’t work, it happens.
Spielberg was replaced by James Mangold. Koepp aptly explains that he left because:
“The last thing you need is some guy sitting with his arms crossed and saying,” Well, the way Steven would do that is … “
In any case, the production is still on the wallpaper. There is even a release date for July 29, 2022, although there is no script or even a title …
One more point. Did you know that Indiana Jones was born on July 1, 1899? Harrison Ford’s date of birth is July 13, 1942. Indiana is 121 years old and Ford is younger – 78. I wonder what the writers will come up with now? Will they transfer the action to more modern times, or will they rejuvenate the main character by computer? And most importantly – will Ford as Indy still move with the same agility and ease in its fedora as before? What do you think?
