When the entire world is in great danger, we can always count on the help of the Justice League. But what if they are in danger? Then, of course, irreplaceable pets will help! The Justice League is kidnapped and Superpies Krypto, Superman’s inseparable companion, must convince a group of animals from the shelter – the hound, the slag-bellied pig, the turtle and the squirrel – to dominate the newly discovered powers and help save the hero group. The first animal superhero animation entertains and moves viewers of all ages.
Although the stories of the heroic dogs – Asa and Krypto come from comics from the 1950s, they have only now made their cinematic debut. It is thanks to the Krypto super dog that Kal-El (later known as Superman) ends up as an infant on Earth, where he soon becomes the most powerful hero. But the superpowered dog who grew up with the Man of Steel has no idea what it is like to be an ordinary pet and be friends with other pets. So when Krypto learns that Superman has been abducted by a telekinetic guinea pig and an all-powerful evil genius, Lulu, and himself suddenly loses all his powers, he has no choice but to turn to the only animals he knows for help.

Fortunately, unexpectedly, thanks to orange kryptonite, it is the animals from the shelter that are now becoming the most powerful creatures in the world. Although working with them is not the easiest task for Krypto, he knows that it is the only chance to save Superman and – as it turns out – his other friends from the Justice League.
The idea of telling the story of pets from the DC world seems just brilliant. Here are the heroes who have belonged to the comic book canon for many years, in fact, not much younger than the original Justice League, all this time remaining in the shadow of their human companions, to whom many cinema films have already been devoted, now have a chance to shine on the big screen. Plus, we all love good pet movies!

Dwayne Johnson, who not only voiced Krypto in the original language but also co-produced the film, recalls:
If you start to wonder what kind of pet your favorite superheroes would have, it will seem unbelievable that no one in the history of cinema has ever made such a movie. So when I first heard about this idea, I was 100% committed without hesitation!
Creating a superhero animation, whose protagonists are a domestic dog and a group of shelter animals, is an extremely original idea and in itself definitely stands out from the many productions in this genre that have been developed in recent years. As director Jared Stern admits, the idea for the story was born in very ordinary circumstances:
My wife works as a volunteer in an animal shelter, and one day I came to help. I was looking at some cute kittens in the room and felt right away that they would probably find their home soon. But when I went on and saw the older animals that had lived in the shelter for a long time, it seemed powerless to me. Then I asked myself: what if for some reason they were given superpowers? I’ve been working on Lego Batman before and knew a lot about the characters from DC so similar ideas were always on my mind, but this time I figured there might be a viable way to combine pets and superpowers. This is how this movie was born.
The DC Super-Pets League presents the world we know in a completely new way. Observing Superman through the eyes of his dog not only has enormous comic potential, but also allows you to discover that even the best known character can still be surprising. The film is not only intimate, the combat scenes full of scale are in no way inferior to the fights known from the greatest superhero hits, and among all the exciting actions and adventures, the animation also tells about universal values such as friendship and family – and emphasizes that the real the superpower is within everyone’s reach, whether it moves on its feet or on its feet.
