Reeves has confirmed to us that Serkis will be returning in the upcoming Batman sequel . Serkis planned little, focusing on directing and producing his own projects. “I have no burning desire to play. I want to get back on stage That’s one thing I want to do for sure – and I’m terrified of it.”

Batman 2 was officially announced as Gunn and Safran revealed their DC Universe slate along with the release date of the movies. Reeves previously discussed his future plans for the character.
It’s largely a noir point-based Batman story. The story is told from the point of view of the main character. I hope it will be a story that will be exciting, but also emotional. The comics have a more detective story – this movie will also be told from this side. He’s supposed to be the best detective in the world – and that wasn’t necessarily part of what the movies were about. I would like it to be a film where we go on a journey of tracking down criminals and trying to solve their crimes. His character will have a bow so he can transform.
