The director of “To” Andy Muschietti has officially confirmed that his next project will be the full-length “The Flash”.

During an interview with Fandango promoting To: Chapter 2 at Comic Con 2019 in San Diego, Andy Muschietti admitted for the first time that he would direct The Flash . As he says, we are unlikely to find horror elements in the new work:

What captivated me about Flash is the human drama (…). Human feelings and emotions that play in the drama. It will also be fun. I can’t promise there will be some horror in it, but it’s a beautiful human story.

Many other names such as Seth Grahame-Smith, Rick Famuyiwa, and most recently John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein have been considered as directors of the film. Actor Ezra Miller, the impersonator of the title character, did not agree with the vision of the film by the latter two, because they wanted to create a work in a “lighter” tone and Miller wanted to maintain the dark atmosphere known from DC comics. He even wrote his own screenplay with comic book creator Grant Morrison. Ultimately, however, Warner Bros. He did not approve it and the film’s writer was appointed by Christina Hodson (known from Bumblebee and also the new film about the Birds of Prey suicide legion ).
