Sapkowski told the Polish publishing house, “Dziennik” during the Taipei International Book Exhibition that new novels are “in the pipeline”, but did not provide any additional information about the plot.
Geralt’s story definitively ended in The Lady of the Lake , though another novel was released in 2013 that focused on some of the character’s earlier adventures. Sapkowski has previously stated that he has no interest in continuing Geralt’s story beyond the seventh volume, but will consider writing additional prequels about the famous monster hunter.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt became one of the best-selling video games of all time, and Netflix created a live-action series that became one of the platform’s biggest hits. Netflix even hoped to make The Witcher a franchise with multiple spin-offs, although this has been called into question after the dismal reviews of Bloodline and Henry Cavill’s unexpected departure from the series.
While it may be a while before fans see Sapkowski’s next novel, we’ll be able to see some new The Witcher content very soon . The third season of the Netflix series will be released this summer, and CD Projekt Red has confirmed that it is working on a fourth game in the series The Witcher , which will start a new trilogy. A remake of the original 2007 game is also in the works.
