Recently we were delighted with the mini-books from the Raspberry series : Malinka wants to play and Malinka is afraid . The youngest offspring in the patchwork family of Mr. Badger and Mrs. Lisica is experiencing adventures that no preschooler would be ashamed of! The latest series published by Egmont is a completely new heroine – Ana and original adventures. The first volume is titled Sleep Well, Ano! and allows us to meet the friends of the title character: Zygzak, Kudłaczek, Pingpong, Rudziak, Fiszbinek and Tulmiś. These characters are stuffed animals that live in Ana’s room and even go to sleep with her!
New means better?
The first volume of the series introduces the reader to a hitherto unknown world, which is why the first impression is so important. Ana Ana is a beautifully illustrated story that tells in a very concise way (no wonder, it is a proposal for the youngest) about the willingness and reluctance to sleep. Sometimes in the middle of the night we get sucked in by a hilarious book, and sometimes… we want to prank someone! The worst is when plush friends want to go to sleep, and Ana – like Ana – laughs out loud and doesn’t let them fall asleep! In this story, no one will say “good night!” quickly. New does not always mean better, but Ana Ana can certainly be liked and I think that this opinion will also be shared by your children. So don’t delay!
A way of showing history
The latest proposal from the Egmont publishing house presents the world of the golden-haired Ana in a very original way. Her way of looking at the world is similar to the one that characterizes preschoolers, but the love for bed stuffed animals reaches a different dimension here. Zigzag, Kudłaczek, Pingpong, Rudziak, Fiszbinka and Tulmiś are full-fledged heroes of the story and can make a good mess in Ana’s life. Huge congratulations are due to the translator from French, Ernest Kacperski, who not only efficiently conveyed the atmosphere of the story, but also translated proper names in an unusual way (look again at the names of stuffed animals!). The volume is rather short, closed in a hard cover, with a charming endpaper enriched with colorful graphics. Currently, the second volume of the series – Ana Ana: Chocolate Tornado – is in preparationWe are also waiting with hope!
