Discussing Film was the first to announce the news of Midthunder being cast in the lead role. The actress will play a young member of the Comancz tribe, who tries to break the limits imposed by the traditions of her people and become a warrior. The action of production is to be set long before the arrival of settlers from Europe to America. This is the first time (at least in terms of movies) that the Predator story will not take place today.
Regarding the Midthunder engagement itself, it was hardly possible to get better. Thanks to the role of a mutant – Kerry Loudermilk – in the series Legion, she gained the sympathy of fans and showed that her fight scenes are not terrible. In addition, the actress is actually a member of one of the Native American tribes, namely the Sioux from Fort Peck.
The production will be supervised by Dan Trachtenberg (director, among others, Cloverfield Lane 10 ), who started preparing for it a few years ago. It remains to be hoped that the plot will be refined after such a time. The bar is nowhere near too high, as the latest Predator movies have had mixed reception at best.
