Interview with the vampire ended with Lestat (Sam Reid) badly injured and left for dead by Louis (Jacob Anderson) and Claudia (Bailey Bass) before they left for Europe. Rashid (Assad Zaman) turned out to be the vampire Armand. Recently, showrunner Rolin Jones spoke about what fans can expect when the show returns for a second season.
I can tell you a few things. The challenge is that there is less plot in the second half of the book than in the first half, and there is also a lot more internal dialogue. There are long scenes where the characters discuss. What we think is really cool is the fact that despite the poor plot, there are really a lot of emotional scenes. I’m really, really excited about it.

Johnson’s comments are in line with what series producer Adam O’Byrne previously said in an interview with The Canadian Press in December 2022. He indicated that production would begin in April 2023 and end in August 2023. O’Byrne stressed that the session will take place in Prague – it will replace Paris.
We’re going to introduce you to the vampire Santiago, who is a bit of a villain. The series will also introduce Madeline, who was Claudia’s companion in the book. Her relationship with Claudia will be complicated – it’s a really interesting thread in the book. We have some great things that I think will enhance Madeline’s character and make her particularly compelling given the time period we’re looking at her.
