The fairy-tale race of blue creatures has been functioning in culture since 1963. "The Smurfs and the Lake Dragon" is the thirty-sixth volume of the series! The originator of the Smurfs was Pierre "Peyo" Culliford (1928-1992), after his death, the work on comics is continued by scriptwriters and cartoonists cooperating with the son of the Belgian artist, Thierry Culliford. Volume 36 - The Smurfs and the Lake Dragon - filled in with the text of the cartoonist's descendant and Alain Jost, while the authors of the drawings are Jeroen de Coninck and Miguel Díaz.
Scarecrows
Smurf Osiłek is a young, strong resident of the Smurfs Village. You will recognize him by the tattoo on his arm (ah, a heart pierced by an arrow!). As you might guess, there is little to scare him. And yet! In the latest notebook, Osiłek panics when a monster emerges from the waters of a nearby lake. Fortunately, it turns out that the Smurfs know this big kid. This is the dragon Fafnir and first appeared in the Cursed Land album , the twelfth volume of the seriesJohan i Piłit autorstwa Peyo. Nie da się ukryć, że w zeszycie Smerfy i smok z jeziora naszych smerfnych bohaterów czeka nie lada wyzwanie: będą oni musieli wmieszać się w sprawy ludzi, z którymi raczej na co dzień nie przestają.
You can’t move without Papa Smurf
Fafnir is a cute dragon. You will love it for sure! But don’t be fooled. The huge creature can cause damage in the Smurf Village and… take out all winter supplies from the pantry. And that is why the blue men will have to immediately escort the animal hero to Jolival Castle, where – in principle – his master, Baron Florimonda, lives. The dragon cannot fly, so friends will only have to move on water (cruise on Fafnir’s back) or by land. It sounds interesting? Oh how! After all, this is another notebook about a smurf adventure! As you can guess, the story told on almost fifty pages of the comic will keep you entertained and make your boring autumn evening more pleasant.
About the visual layer
The comic book The Smurfs and the Lake Dragon is one of the ones I like the most. The Smurfs Dragon adventure is really interesting, and the fact that the characters are constantly on the move makes the visualization of the (I suppose French) landscape a lot (the action takes place, among others, in the Smurfs Village, forest, near Jolival Castle and on the stream Smurfs). In the notebook, we can also admire many human figures, which is confirmed by the artistic skill of the creators of the series. The medieval atmosphere will surely appeal to all adults, and children will be delighted – so much is going on in this comic book!
