Paramount Pictures has released a new trailer for A Quiet Place Part II. It is a sequel to the popular horror movie from 2018.

Let us remind you that the first part of the film, directed by John Krasiński, tells about the Abbot family of four, who had to deal with the post-apocalyptic reality. In addition to struggling with basic post-civilization problems such as lack of water, food and shelter, the heroes had to be alert. The slightest noise made monsters appear immediately and devour people.

In the sequel we will see the aftermath of the dramatic events that took place in the Abbotts’ house, the family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must face what is happening outside the home, what the world is like now. He knows that silence is the key to survival. Forced into the unknown, the Abbotts will soon learn that the mysterious creatures that sound provokes to attack are not the only danger.

The film will also feature Cillian Murphy (“Inception”, “Dunkirk”), Djimon Hounsou (“Guardians of the Galaxy”, “Shazam!”) And John Krasiński , who directed and starred in the first film. His deceased character, husband and father Lee Abbot, appears in a flashback.

“I wasn’t really going to do the second part because the first one is such a personal experience. It looks crazy now that I watch it, ”said Krasiński. “It was really important for me to also present the events leading up to the series. “

Krasiński was the co-author of the first film with Bryan Woods and Scott Beck. He is the only developer of the sequel. In an interview with ComicBook.com, Beck explained why he and Woods didn’t come back to the sequel: “As film and series makers, we always have room for improvement,” Beck said. “But what’s really fun on the opening weekend last year was the studio’s almost immediate decision to go ahead. John’s reaction: “I don’t know if a new part is needed.”

In the further part of the interview with Beck we read; “We always imagined it would be one movie. The decision I and Bryan made was to passively engage in the new part.

The premiere of “Quiet Place II” is scheduled for March 20, 2020.
