Written, directed and played by John Krasinski, the first part of A Quiet Place was a huge success in 2018. The main roles – apart from the actor whose ancestors come from Poland – were played by his wife Emily Blunt. The story of a post-apocalyptic world where silence is worth its weight in gold (if you can say so …) was a huge success and made hundreds of millions of dollars. That is why the production has come to the second part.
In the Quiet 2 spot appeared again (in flashbacks) John Krasinski, Emily Blunt and young Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe. Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou have joined the cast. This film is a direct reference to the first part. The twice-postponed premiere of the film will hopefully have its day in April 2021.
Paramount announced that Krasinski’s next project will be directed not by himself, but by Jeff Nichols , known from Mud and Midnight Special . The third part of The Quiet Place is said to be happening in another part of the universe and / or in the future, but so far unpredictable. The release date is more predictable – it is to take place in 2022.
