Sorceresses in a new version
The adventures of the heroines of the WITCH comic book series , which surely delighted many girls in the process of growing up, come back in a new edition – no longer as magazines, but as large volumes in hard covers. The fifth book presents the adventures that awaited teenagers in issues 53-62 of the cult magazine the Sorceress WITCH . As always, it’s hard to break away from the fantastic story. The stories are very universal, because they show not only the magical side of the life of the titular Sorceresses, but also the common problems that anyone in adolescence can grapple with. Thanks to this, every teenager will be able to identify with the girls from WITCH.
WITCH beautiful and original as always
Despite the new release, the aesthetics of the classic Charmed Ones comics haven’t changed at all. Will, Irma, Taranee, Cornelia and Hay Lin have kept their old style, the drawings are clear and aesthetic, the font in the speech bubbles with the characters’ statements is appropriate.
The new hardcover version is pleasing to the eye in itself. In addition to nice illustrations, this edition also includes an add-on – descriptions of the characters, as well as a few words about the comic book creators with photos.
The nostalgic return of the Charmed Ones
The WITCH comic book series is very close to my heart, so after this new edition fell into my hands, I was very excited. I was not disappointed. The magical adventures of teenagers are as exciting as I remember them. I really liked their style of clothing. I wanted to look like them when I was a kid, and best of all, they still look great after ten years or so. I think that reading will be a great entertainment for teenagers, but also for older ones, who have good memories of it from their school days (eg exchanging cards, “two small ones for a glitter one”). Reading the fifth book of the series also led me to an extraordinary discovery – after so many years I noticed that the first letters of the characters’ names form the title of the comic book – WITCHwhich didn’t occur to me in years of collecting comics. I definitely recommend it.
