Looney Tunes fans finally got another trailer for the newest Space Match: New Heritage from Warner Bros. There is definitely something to wait for!
The second trailer of the movie appeared online yesterday, on the official YouTube channel of the American company. After years of break, we will return to the sports career of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Lola Bunny and other heroes of the world of Looney Tunes . This time they will be accompanied by NBA star LeBron James. So if you haven’t had a chance to see what happens to the crazy team this time, check out the Space Match preview :
According to the official description of the film, New Legacy will tell the epic adventure of basketball player LeBron James and Bugs Bunny. James and his young son, Dom, dream of being a video game developer. Thanks to the rebellious artificial intelligence, they will be trapped in the digital space. The basketball player will be forced to ensure a safe return home for himself and the child. The only way to do that is to lead Bugs Bunny’s team, Lola Bunny’s and the rest of the undisciplined team to victory in the upcoming basketball game.
In one interview with The Hollywood Reporter , James confessed how much it meant for him to play in the sequel to Space Match. As a child, he adored Michael Jordan, who starred in the first film ( 1996), and hoped to achieve the same level of fame as an athlete as he did. So being the star of the new movie was very important for the basketball player:
Collaboration on the production of Space Match is much more than just me and Looney Tunes getting together and making a movie. It’s something much bigger. I wish kids would understand how strong they can feel and how strong they can be if they don’t just give up on their dreams.
But apart from LeBron James, we will also see other faces known from the world of basketball in production. They are Chris Paul, Anthony Davis, Klay Thompson, Damian Lillard and Diana Taurasi. In addition to them, the film will also feature actor Don Cheadle ( Hotel Ruanda, Iron Man, Ocean Eleven ).
The premiere of the latest Space Match is planned for July 16, 2021. Then the production will hit the cinema screens. Abroad, it will also be available on the HBO Max platform.
