As was to be expected, Disney’s management used one of the commercials during Super Bowl LV to promote the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe series. As WandaVision is about to end, and the premiere of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will take place in just over a month, it is not surprising that the emotions of the awaiting viewers are increased.
We don’t learn much from the new trailer. A scene from the first trailer unfolds, where Falcon, to Bucky’s annoyance, jumps out of the plane in Captain America’s style, and a sequence that takes place on moving trucks. The voice of Daniel Brühl is also heard, again playing the role of Baron Zemo, who announces a fight to destroy the superheroes. The beginning and end of the trailer shows Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) during a kind of visit to the therapist. It can be concluded that their “relationship” will have problems, as Sebastian Stan himself announced:
Sometimes I really want to kill him. But anyway, if one doesn’t kill the other by the end of the show, that’s fine
The poster, in addition to the characters of Sam and Bucky, shows Sharon Carter (Emily VanCamp), US Agent (Wyatt Russell) and the group Flag Smashers, in front of which stands the yet unknown character Erin Kellyman.
As you know, the series will also focus on the Steve Rogers storyline and who will take over his role. Anthony Mackie himself described the upcoming production “a long way of explaining who will be Captain America, where his shield will land, and who, if it ever does, will take the nickname.” He also commented on the creation and expectations of the show:
It’s a really good show, although at first I was a bit worried about the format. That it will lose quality. That it will not be as good as the movies, it will not be possible to realize the action scenes and the style to which we are used to Marvel movies. But the action sequences are stunning. The story is brilliant, you really get to know better and fall in love with the characters. Like WandaVision , the series will take you deeper into the universe.
As announced by Kevin Feige, the series will be divided into six episodes, each of which will last about 45-50 minutes. The premiere of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will take place on the Disney + platform on March 19.
