The Kinema Citrus studio returns to us with a sequel to Made in Abyss – an anime about Riko, a 12-year-old orphan who is looking for her mother in the terrifying world of Abyss. In the new trailer, we can see what awaits us in the next season, which will be released this summer.

In the sequel, of course, we will see the three main characters, Riko, Reg and Nanachi, voiced by well-known actors: Miyu Tomita, Mariya Ise, Shiori Izawa, back in the dark world of Abyss.
Season 2, The Golden City of the Scorching Sun, will premiere on July 6. You can still watch the first part on Amazon Prime, while the next episodes will probably only appear on the HDIVE platform. If you’re very interested in Made in Abyss and don’t want to wait for more seasons of the adaptation, you can explore the story in its original manga version.
