Another novelty! The slasher film It’s a Wonderful Knife will be released in cinemas later this year ! The Shudder platform has just published its trailer. Check it out for yourself!
Shudder has released a trailer for It’s a Wonderful Knife , a slasher remake of Frank Capra’s holiday classic It’s a Wonderful Life , which entered the public domain in 1974. The world premiere of the film will take place at Beyond Fest on October 8, 2023. The exact release date in Poland is not yet known. It’s a Wonderful Knife will stream on Shudder at a later date, likely in time for the holidays.
Who will star in the film?
Tyler MacIntyre directed the film and the script was written by Michael Kennedy. The main roles will be played by Justin Long, Joel McHale, Jane Widdop, scream queen Katharine Isabelle, Jess McLeod and Cassandra Naud.

It’s a Wonderful Knife joins the many public domain stories that have been selected for recent horror films. Uncork’d Entertainment recently revealed plans for horror films based on both Mary Had A Little Lamb and Three Blind Mice . A sequel to the indie horror phenomenon Pooh: Milk and Honey is currently in development with a planned release in 2024.
What is the movie about?
In It’s a Wonderful Knife , a year after saving her town from a psychotic killer on Christmas Eve, Winnie Carruthers’ life is less than wonderful. When she begins to regret never having been born, she finds herself in a nightmarish parallel universe and discovers that without her, things could have been much, much worse. Now the killer is back and she must join forces with the town to identify the killer and return to her own reality. RJLE Films describes the project as It’s a Wonderful Life by way of Scream .
It ‘s a Wonderful Knife was produced by Seth Caplan, Michael Kennedy and Daniel Bekerman. This is a Divide and Conquer production with Greg Gilreath and Adam Hendricks and in association with Fourth Culture Films.
