Apparently, work is already underway on a new game under the banner of the Aliens film series . While Alien movies kind of come and go, the brand has been pretty active in the video game space. There have been quite a few Alien titles released over the last alt , on consoles, PCs, and even mobile devices. Although we already know about one more Alien game , which should be released next year, but it may not be the only title in the preparation stage.
According to reports from Insider Gaming , a new Alien game is currently in development and is scheduled for release in late 2023. It is said that the production is working under the name Marathon and is being created only for current-gen consoles. Therefore, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and, of course, PC players can expect it.

As for the details of the project, there are still many unknowns. The report in question considers it to be a survival-horror game and to borrow elements from the well-known Dead Space and Resident Evil series . If true, it looks like the new Alien will have a lot in common with its predecessor, Alien: Isolation, a first-person horror game released in 2014. While Isolation was a fan success, it never received a sequel, which it was a bit weird.
As above, the mysterious new project isn’t the only Alien project we could get next year. Aliens: Dark Descent was announced last summer at Summer Game Fest , and its release is scheduled for 2023. Details about this production are still a bit sparse, however, Dark Descent seems to be more focused on action game elements, especially compared to the mysterious project. If that happened, Alien fans and gamers in general could get an interesting duo of different games, simultaneously contained in the same iconic universe.
