Agent 007 is one of the most recognizable characters in all of pop culture, as he has been in films for over 60 years and in novels for even longer.
This is a character that has been portrayed many times in different ways, but still retains its characteristic features. James Bond is a handsome, charming spy equipped with gadgets and always fighting some incredibly nefarious villain. Across 25 films, numerous books and video games, Bond has stood the test of time, as have characters such as Batman, Superman and Spider-Man.
At the moment, Bond’s next phase remains a mystery. Daniel Craig ended his 15-year run as the character in 2021, and the series producers took their time to find out what would happen next. There’s no shortage of rumors about who will play Bond next and what the films might look like, but one thing is certain: there will be more of them. While we wait, the James Bond/007 series remains alive thanks to various adaptations. Today, a new mobile game was announced called Cypher 007, which will be released on September 29 on Apple Arcade . In the game, players explore iconic moments of Bond fighting Blofeld and the Specter while trying to turn Bond into a double agent. You can see the trailer below

Project 007 release date
This isn’t the only James Bond game on the horizon. A few years ago, it was confirmed that Hitman developer IO Interactive was working on a new James Bond game called Project 00 7 . It’s probably a placeholder name, but it’s expected to be a real AAA game with an original story and a new Bond. It is not expected to be connected to the new films in any way. It’s been a while since the game was announced, but hopefully we’ll start hearing more about it late this year or next year and have a firm release date soon.
Who will be the next James Bond?
At the moment it seems every British actor over 30 is interested in the role. One of the most notable examples was Aaron Taylor Johnson, but it is unclear whether his candidacy will materialize. Either way, whoever takes on this role will have high expectations to meet. We probably won’t know who the next Bond will be for a while, as the SAG-AFTRA strike would likely rule many key actors out of the running right now.
