Kickstarter for Dune: War for Arrakis has started ! The new board game by Francesco Nepitello and Marco Maggi will be a wargame for 2 to 4 players.

Dune: War for Arrakis has launched its Kickstarter ! The game will be intended for 2 to 4 players aged 14+, and the game itself will last about 2 hours. The board game comes from the creators of War of the Ring and is a war strategy game.

Below you can read the official description of the game :

The noble house that controls Arrakis and the spice production has great power – the Emperor gave Arrakis to the Atreides but then conspired to replace them with their former rivals, the Harkonnen clan. Baron Harkonnen defeated the Atreides in a treacherous attack and now rules the planet with an iron fist. But Paul and Jessica, heirs of the Atreides family, live and incite a rebellion with the help of menacing Fremen, mysterious inhabitants of the barren lands of Arrakis.

Only one family will emerge victorious from the coming battle, while the other will be lost in the desert sands. It is into this grim reality that players will be thrown in DUNE: WAR FOR ARRAKIS, the strategic board game that arrived on Kickstarter in 2022.

In this asymmetric strategy game, players battle for control of the planet by maneuvering troops such as the Fremen, Fedaykins and the terrifying Sardaukar while sending the Spice Reapers out into the deep desert … Renowned creators Francesco Nepitello and Marco Maggi, designers of the best-selling strategy game WAR OF THE RING, have joined forces to create an entirely new experience driven by a dice, action system and numerous event cards that will allow players to relate the Dune saga in a different way with each playthrough. The game will be a great new entry point for players to enter a vast universe.
