“A huge surprise” – a review of the book “Nawiść”

Old history

Hatred takes us to lands that will one day be called Poland. These areas are plagued by endless wars and raids by northern warriors to take control of them. We observe the fate of people forced to face the impending threat. The heroes of the novel came to live in these difficult times. Zadar – the son of a prince and his sister, about to take over. There is also Sambor – a boy from the Forest, whose fate is forever connected with the life of the Prince’s Son. However, this is not just a story about people fighting for their own goals. Conflicts also take place in the world of Nature, which hides many secrets. Various divine beings and demons also appear. I am intentionally not revealing too much of the plot of the novel. Believe me, discovering this world on your own gives a lot of satisfaction.

We have already seen many authors whose true identities remained a mystery. However, I think that the author is unknown. has a chance to go down in history with golden syllables and stand out from among anonymous writers. Of course, I do not mean only the characteristic dot. I have a feeling that it is important and omitting it could be an unwanted error.

 One of the greatest advantages of Nawiści is the language, or rather the multitude of languages, which the author uses depending on the situation. Each character has its own way of speaking, and the linguistic style also changes in the descriptions of various phenomena or in reporting the course of battles. Discovering different styles of speech was for me additional fun while reading.

Impossible to classify

 Hate credibly shows us the development of their heroes and the paths they have to overcome in order to achieve their life goals. By observing the motives of their actions, we can see that despite the passage of hundreds of years, people do not change, still striving for fame, wealth and adoration. If the situation requires it, even over the dead. The novel also includes elements of a historical or adventure novel. It is also fairy-tale-like, and the spirit of Slavic mythology hovers over everything. It is also another book I read in 2020 about the fight between Good and Evil, asking interesting and thought-provoking questions.

Summary

The hatred of an unknown author. is a multi-layered novel. It combines a multitude of languages, colorful characters and thoughts about human nature and feelings dressed in the clothes of an adventure-historical novel with elements of fairy tales and mythology. It is a novel worth taking the time to discover whatever it is trying to convey to us. It’s hard to believe that this is a literary debut.
