The final episode of the first season of Andorra will appear on Disney+ next week, meanwhile we already know that the second season will also be made . In fact, shooting for the continuation of the series is to start on Monday. Andor is a story set five years before Rogue One 1 , where the action of the second season is set to take place immediately before the events of the film. Diego Luna, the actor playing the title character of Cassian Andor, told The Playlist a little about the second and final season of the series.
Well, we’re entering [ Rogue 1 ], yes. One thing we’ve said and everyone knows is that next season will end right before Rogue One, a lot of things will happen along the way that some people might not expect. However, there is definitely no way to avoid it.

The pace will change, but not that much, because we’ve been shooting [season] in blocks of three [episodes]… Now we’re going to do it [again], we’re going to do blocks of three that take us over a period of four years and it’s going to be a pretty interesting thing which we will experience. Another important thing to mention is that when we started doing this, none of us had done anything in this format before. We thought of something like a movie. And now we understand what it is to deliver something that comes out every week, what is the rhythm of it and what it means. Of course, this learning will be reflected in the next season.
Luna continued
In addition to Cassian Andor played by Luna, the new season will also feature Mon Mothma (Genevieve O’Reilly), Saw Gerrera (Forest Whitaker) and Melshi (Duncan Pow). Fans hope that the droid K-2SO (Alan Tudyk) known from Rogue 1 will return in the second season. During an interview with Collider last year , Tudyk spoke about appearing at Andor ‘s preview during Disney’s D23 in 2019. He also admitted that he is unlikely to appear in the first season of the series.
They’re shooting it at the moment, I’m not in it, but if [the series] stays on the air, the stories will still be told, I’ll get there. I follow all these series announcements and I suggested on D23 that when we announce the show it will be called K2 Fast K2 Furious: The Cassian Andor Series and well it won’t be called Andor !
