The action of the third part of Fantastic Beasts will take place in the 1930s, shortly after the events of The Crimes of Grindelwald and several dozen before the birth of Harry Potter. The main character remains Newt Skamander (Eddie Redmayne), a wizard specializing in magical creatures. However, Dumbledore (played by Jude Law) will play a much greater role than in the previous film. He gives Newt an extremely difficult mission to gather talented wizards around him who will defy the powerful wizard – Grindelwald (Mads Mikkelsen) and stop him from taking control of the world of magic.
The new production will feature both new and known characters from previous films: Credence (Ezra Miller), Jacob Kowalski (Dan Fogler), Queenie Goldstein (Alison Sudol), Tina Goldstein (Katherine Waterston) and Theseus Scamander (Callum Turner).
Behind the camera was the creator of the previous parts, David Yates, who also directed the last few parts of the main Harry Potter saga ( Order of the Phoenix and later). It will also shoot the next two planned installments. The script was prepared by JK Rowling and Steve Kloves (the author of the script for the lion’s share of the Harry Potter books ).
