Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone is the first part of the book, best-selling saga about the adventures of a teenage wizard who learns about his magical abilities and mysterious past on his 11th birthday. The seven-part series written by JK Rowling made millions of children fall in love with them all over the world, accompanying them for many years, restoring the fashion for reading books in the youngest.
The first screening appeared on the screens of world cinemas on November 4, 2001, and three talented actors began their film careers – Daniel Radcliffe played the role of the title character, while his closest friends were played by Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley). At their side, however, there were the greatest stars of British cinema and theater – Richard Harris, playing the director of the school of magic and witchcraft, Albus Dumbledore, Maggie Smith playing the role of professor McGonagall, or Alan Rickman, responsible for creating an unforgettable creation of a dark, but ambiguous potions teacher, Severus Snape.
